Leno Apologizes

Two weeks after asking Ryan Phillippe to give his "gayest look" to the camera, and after 386 gayest looks and counting (yours truly included), and after GLAAD requested an apology, Jay Leno has apologized for his insensitivity:

In talking about Ryan's first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong," Leno said. "I certainly didn't mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize.

It's a start.
