i'm just wondering (sarcastically) if griffin's puppet strings stretched as far as the west wing... he was, afterall, the master of jeopardy...

Yeah, I got the sarcasm and was being, in turn, peckish myself. Gay Griffin was close friends with the Reagan's, as you may remember, thus it is not inconceivable that he could have strings to pull, at least with them. Rove on the other hand is only controlled by God/Satan.
